               Community Computer Recycling Service

We are accepting your used computer equipment all year round.  All computer equipment will be sent out to be refurbished and made available to nonprofits around the state at "rock-bottom" prices.  The items that are broken or not able to be salvaged will be recycled.  Nothing will end up an a landfill.  So, when you upgrade your computer, don't downgrade the earth!

We accept all computer components except main frames.  We do NOT accept microwaves, refrigerators or TV's.

We do accept and recycle used cell phones and ink cartridges.

Handling Fees:

  • $15 each for:  Monitors and Laptops (higher fee due to the disposal costs of the CRT tubes in the monitors.  They contain chemicals and leaded glass.)
  • $5 each for CPUs, Hard Drives, Printers, and Scanners
  • $2 each Keyboard
  • Free: Mice, Cables, Other external components like hard drives

The equipment will be accepted at our office in historic downtown West Bend at 237 N. Main St:
Mondays and Fridays:       9:00 am - 3:00 pm

    ***
You are responsible for blanking your hard drives before turning in your CPUs.  Remember these pieces of equipment are recycled through the prison system.   http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/  is a great resource for free software to completely erase your hard drive.  Go to this webpage and download the software to your machine.  Make SURE you have ALL of the data off of your computer before you run this program.  The data is NOT recoverable.

***If you have more than 10 pieces of equipment, you must call us to schedule a drop off time.
