Washington County Service Day, April 2012 Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who came out for our very first Washington County Service Day event! Together we served 5 agencies in Washington County! Also, thank you to Riveredge Nature Center, Wellspring, Inc., Boys and Girls Club in Jackson, Cedar Community and Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center for hosting volunteers and making this event possible!		MLK Day of Service, January 2012 Thank you to all 871 students and 104 teachers and parents who participated in the MLK Day of Service projects at Kennedy Middle School in Germantown! Because of their wonderful efforts, 16 different projects were completed, providing service to 1,589 people and 150 animals!
Craft 4 a Cause, November 2011 Thank you to everyone who participated in our third "Craft 4 a Cause" family volunteering event. On November 11 and 14, families came together to decorate wrapping paper, make bookmarks and coasters, and created get well cards. Eleven member agencies will receive the items made at these events to give to their clients and visitors! Thank you to the 9 families who participated and to all the volunteers that made it possible!		CERT Olympics - Oak Creek, August 2011 The Second Annual Southeast Wisconsin CERT Olympics took place Saturday, August 20th at the MATC South Campus in Oak Creek.  This regional exercise was the result of many months of planning and coordination by COAD of Southeast Wisconsin, Lake County Illinois MRC and Citizen Corps of Washington County. A number of trained CERT volunteers also helped plan and staff the event.   This years CERT Olympics not only challenged the skills of the competing teams but the command staff and volunteers as well. Despite morning rains a great time was had by all!
4th of July Parade - West Bend, July 2011 We had a great bunch of volunteers with us at the 4th of July parade in West Bend! Together we handed out 500 fliers promoting volunteerism in our county. We couldn't have done this without their help and committment to volunteerism. Thank you!		Glacier Hills Movie Night - West Bend, June 2011 Thank you to all of our volunteers who made Glacier Hills Movie Night such a success! Family volunteers manned the concession stand and handed out family volunteering information at the June 24 showing of "Despicable Me."
CERT Class - Jackson Fire Department, May 2011 17 students recently completed the May CERT Training. They learned basic preparedness information, light search and rescue, how to put out small fires, and much more! Congratulations to all the graduates!		Slinger Middle School Service Field Trip, May 2011 47 students from the National Junior Honor Society at Slinger Middle School participated in a volunteer field trip on May4, 2011. They completed projects for 3 of our member agencies: Wellspring, Inc., Welcome HOME and Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center. Thank you for all your hard work!
