2.10.12 - Craft 4 a Cause Family Volunteer Day

On Friday, February 3, the Volunteer Center of Washington County hosted it's fourth "Craft 4 a Cause" event at the Family Center of Washington County. The family volunteer events provided an opportunity for families to get together and give together. Families created Valentine's postcards, picture frames, notepads, magnets, rugs, and birthday banners. All projects created at this event will be donated to clients of local nonprofit agencies. 1.20.12 - Kennedy Middle School Participates in MLK Day of Service

In honor of MLK Day of Service on January 16, we partnered with Kennedy Middle School in Germantown for a day full of service and fun! All 871 students (grades 6-8) and 104 teachers, administrators and parents created 1,739 projects that will be donated to people and animals throughout Washington County! Some of the projects included: Thinking of You cards for seniors and soldiers, placemats for residents at Samaritan Health Center, cat and dog toys for the Washington County Humane Socitey, math and alphabet flashcards for clients at Casa Guadalupe Education Center, fleece blankets for Youth and Family Project, and much more!
